Her success in hunting the man down turns to horror when he grabs a firearm, killing a fellow officer and then himself.

With her only lead lying silent on a slab, Lacey’s suspicions harden after a woman connected to the case turns up missing. Fearing what every wasted hour means for the kidnapped victim, she follows the clues to a gruesome scene, and a warning that she may already be too late.
