Louis Thorn and Haruto `Harry' Yamada - the Eagle and the Crane - are the star attractions of a daredevil aerial stunt team that traverses Depression-era California. But the relationship between them is complicated, made more so when they are both drawn to the same woman. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, they must face some harsh realities.
