Report of Board of Officers to Consider an Expedition for the Relief of Lieut. Greely and Party
Cambridge Library Collection - Polar Exploration
Kirjeldus
This official report, published in 1884, proposes a third expedition, much more carefully planned and equipped, to rescue any survivors of the 1881 Greely expedition to the Arctic, two previous relief efforts having failed. When they were eventually found, only seven of Greely's original team of twenty-five were still alive.
