Rethinking Scientific Literacy

Expanding constructivist ideas on science curricula presented in journal articles, Roth (U. of Victoria) and Barton (Teachers College, Columbia U.) probe the relationship of "school science" to broader societal contexts through examples of empowerment via diverse paths to such knowledge. Distributed
